Privacy policy
How Clear by Seven collects, uses and protects personal information.
Effective October 5, 2026.
1. Scope
In short: who operates this store and who is responsible for this policy.
Ethan Wildman, carrying on business as Clear by Seven ("we", "us"), operates this online store.
This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices available to you.
"Personal information" means information about an identifiable individual, such as your name, address or email address.
Ethan Wildman is responsible for compliance with this policy and with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
2. Information we collect
In short: what you give us at checkout and by email, and what your browser sends when you visit.
When you place an order, we collect your name, email address, shipping address, billing address and phone number, and the items you ordered.
Your payment card details are entered on Shopify's checkout and handled by the payment provider. We do not see or store your full card number.
When you contact us, we collect your name, email address or phone number, and what you tell us, including any photos you send.
When you sign up for marketing emails, we collect your email address and the date and way you agreed.
When you visit the store, Shopify and the services named in section 5 record technical information: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, the page that referred you, and what you add to your cart or buy.
We do not collect health information, government identification or information about children through this store.
3. How we use information
In short: to fulfil your order, to answer you, to keep the store working, and to measure and show our ads.
To process, ship and track your order.
To send order confirmations, shipping updates and messages about delays.
To answer your questions and handle cancellations, refunds and replacements.
To prevent fraud and keep the store secure.
To understand how visitors use the store, so we can improve it.
If we use Meta (Facebook/Instagram) advertising tools, to measure which ads led to a purchase and to show our ads to people likely to be interested.
To send marketing emails, only if you have agreed to receive them.
To keep the records the law requires, including tax records.
We do not sell personal information for money.
4. Disclosure
In short: Shopify, our payment provider, our supplier, the carriers, and Meta if we use its advertising tools, for the purposes named, and no one else.
We share personal information only with the service providers below, and only for the purpose named.
Shopify Inc. hosts this store and runs the checkout, order records, store analytics and marketing emails (Shopify Email). Shopify's privacy policy: https://www.shopify.com/legal/privacy
Shopify Payments, with its payment partners, processes card payments.
Our product supplier sells through AliExpress. AliExpress and the supplier receive your name, shipping address and phone number so the supplier can pack and ship your order. The supplier is located in China.
The shipping carrier receives your name, shipping address and phone number to deliver your parcel.
If we use Meta (Facebook/Instagram) advertising tools, Meta Platforms, Inc. receives information about your visit and purchase through the Meta Pixel and the Conversions API, as described in section 5.
We may also disclose personal information where the law requires it.
5. Cookies, the Meta Pixel and analytics
In short: Shopify's standard cookies, and Meta's ad measurement if we use it; how to refuse them.
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser so it can remember you between pages or visits.
This store uses Shopify's standard cookies.
Some of them are needed for the store to work, such as remembering your cart and your cookie choices.
Others are analytics cookies that count visits and purchases.
The full list of Shopify's standard cookies is at https://www.shopify.com/legal/cookies
If we use Meta (Facebook/Instagram) advertising tools, the Meta Pixel runs on our store pages. It is a small piece of code from Meta. It tells Meta which pages you view and whether you buy, so we can measure our Facebook and Instagram ads and show them to similar people. It sets the _fbp cookie (about 90 days) and, when you arrive from a Meta ad, the _fbc cookie (about 90 days).
If we use Meta (Facebook/Instagram) advertising tools, the Meta Conversions API sends the same kind of purchase information from Shopify's servers to Meta directly. It may include your email address and phone number in hashed form. "Hashed" means scrambled into a fixed code that Meta can match to its own users but cannot read back as your email address or phone number.
Meta uses this information under its own privacy policy: https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy
Where the law of your region requires it, Shopify shows a cookie banner that lets you accept or decline analytics and marketing cookies. The Meta Pixel and analytics cookies do not run if you decline.
You can also block or delete this store's cookies in your browser settings at any time, or contact us and we will help.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
You can control the ads Meta shows you at https://www.facebook.com/adpreferences
6. Marketing emails
In short: only with your consent; every email has an unsubscribe link.
We send marketing emails only if you have agreed to receive them, by ticking an unticked box at checkout or by signing up on the store.
Buying from us does not sign you up for marketing emails.
Every marketing email identifies Clear by Seven, gives our mailing address and contains an unsubscribe link.
We stop marketing emails within 10 business days after you unsubscribe.
Order confirmations, shipping updates and delay notices are not marketing. We send them to every customer.
7. Retention
In short: order records for 6 years for tax; everything else for 2 years, or less if it is no longer needed.
Order records, including your name, addresses and what you bought, are kept for 6 years after the end of the tax year of the order, as Canadian tax law requires.
Emails and photos you send us are kept for 2 years after the last message.
Your marketing email consent record is kept while you are subscribed and for 2 years after you unsubscribe.
Our service providers keep information under their own policies.
We delete personal information on request unless the law requires us to keep it.

10. Security
In short: HTTPS, limited access, two-step login, and breach notification.
The store is served over HTTPS, which encrypts information between your browser and the store.

If a breach creates a real risk of significant harm, we notify the people affected and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, as PIPEDA requires.
